What are Levoxyl side effects?

Some of the common side effects of Levoxyl are listed below. Call your doctor if these side effects are severe or persistent. 

  • Weight changes
  • Headache
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Changes in appetite
  • Fever
  • Changes in menstrual cycles
  • Heat sensitivity
  • Hair loss
  • Leg cramps
  • Joint pain

In some people, Levoxyl doses may produce serious or life-threatening adverse effects. Please call your doctor right away if you experience any of the following side effects:

  • Wheezing, shortness of breath
  • Itching, hives, rash, flushing
  • Swelling of the hands, lower legs, ankles, or feet
  • Nausea, stomach pain

The above list may not include all the potential side effects of Levoxyl. Contact your health care provider if you experience severe side effects or if the side effects do not go away in a few days. You can also report unusual side effects to the Food and Drug Administration at 1-800-FDA-1088.

Levoxyl Overdose: In case of a known or suspected overdose, call your doctor right away or go to the nearest emergency room. If a person cannot be awakened, has had a seizure, or has trouble breathing, call 911 immediately. Symptoms of an overdose of Levoxyl may include chest pain, irregular or rapid heartbeat, uncontrolled shaking, confusion, irritability, nervousness, anxiety, excessive sweating, sleep problems, trouble breathing, loss of consciousness, and seizures.
